Switzerland

Ooops...as you may have seen on the map we didnt go through Austria but through Switzerland...because we visited friends in Western Germany close to Heidelberg, they have been „overlanding“ for 20 years and gave us the last bits and pieces of info for our trip. So instead of going through Austria it was shorter for us to go through Switzerland. Also because we changed our plan and didnt want to go to Sicily but leave from Genova, which is much closer and quicker...

Our little trip through Switzerland fit well into Andrea’s plan as she had spent a lot of time near the Zurich Lake 14 years ago and so we stopped in Rueshlikon and Thalwil, little towns along the lake...we found the place where Andrea stayed when she arrived here by autostop and lived with people here from Karlovy Vary.

We found the place, the little house, but none of the old people lived here anymore. The house was freshly painted, still had the same owner. And the restaurant „Bodrum“ next door still has the same owners...

We tried to speak to the owner but he wasn’t there at the moment...what a shame! Only Sezai’s brother was here. :o(
